A new radio announcer for the Braves
Per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel comes this piece about a possible replacement for Skip Caray and/or Pete Van Wieren in the radio broadcast booth this year:
Milwaukee Brewers radio announcer Jim Powell might be hired by the Atlanta Braves to call games on radio. [...]
Powell, who has worked 13 seasons on Brewers radio broadcasts with partner Bob Uecker, attended the University of Georgia.
Brewers spokesman Tyler Barnes confirmed Monday that the Braves were considering Powell.
He's a Bulldawg, I already like him. I wonder if he'll bring any of that Bob Uecker wit with him. Sounds like a good choice.

I have heard that he has a great stick, but his zone rating is mighty low. Basically, he is a hack out in the field.
best defensive shortstop in baseball hahahahahahahahahah (omar visquel)

The Braves have no interest, he’s left handed.

not bad...
Listened to him call some Brewers games last year…good voice…I think he’d be suitable as long as he can continually tell Mark Lemke to shut up.
Naw, just messin…I like the Lemmer’s incessant talking.
