Pretty much the best evaluation of Dunn you can ask for...
"The fact is that Dunn isn't as good as his offensive numbers would lead you to believe, but he's still a +2 win player. Maybe not a difference maker -- despite the annual 40 HR's a year -- but he could be a good, solid addition to a team needing to make the push into a higher win total. I still think whatever contract he'll receive is one of the more interesting topics left on the free agent market. Just don't expect him to defend."

Great stuff Bronco…I was actually looking for something like this earlier this week and couldn’t find anything that summed it up so well.
I’m just about the biggest Dunn supported on this board, but you’ll never find me try to argue that his defense is acceptable…it isn’t. However, I’ll argue till the death that he’s a tremendous presence at the plate. People can say otherwise and bring up his BA and K’s all they want, but they’re just plain wrong.
Also, I’m really loving this newfound emphasis on defense in the statistical community. I almost don’t want to believe that Dunn was as valuable as Adam Jones last season, but it certainly makes the gears turn in my head.
I guess I should be one to talk.
There's nights that I can't even walk.
There's days I couldn't give a fuck.
And in between is where I'm stuck.

I love it...
Willie Harris the 6th best LF in baseball last year? I would have shat myself if anyone had told me that before he left Atlanta, but every single defensive measure rates him as one of the best outfield defenders in the game. Defense is, in a way, the final frontier of statistical analysis. Lots more work needs to be done, but we know far more than we did just a few years ago.

I know it’s just one play in particular, but when he robbed Delgado of that HR against the Mets a couple years ago I was in complete and utter shock. I remember that I snuck downstairs from my office into the break area and turned the game on to watch the final minutes…my jaw literally hit the floor.
Wish I had payed more attention to his defense at the time, but yeah…pretty nice signing by the Nats.

Pick your insult
1. Wait, you have a job?
2. How many levels does your basement have?
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
I’m partial to the basement joke.
