i love Ohman, but im not quite sure we need him… you can always use more depth in the pen (as evidenced by our last year), but we have three solid arms (assumign Moylan is health) some good long relief guys and two Loogies (O Flaherty and Logan)… and i still think Boyer is a good reliever if used properly (like not 1000 times in one season)

Don’t forget that we’re using Campillo for 2025 starts this season.

Totally agree
We only have about $6 MM left and he would want all of that. At this point I really don’t think he would out perform Campillo for the 5th spot. With all the rumors floating that Dunn could be had for 2 years $20 MM now i wonder if he would take less the first year of the contract if we added a third year. Say 3 years and $30 MM. If it went first year $6 MM, second $10 MM, and third $14 MM. I think that would be fair price for him. Its obvious that he isn’t going to get the 4 years $56 MM that he wanted earlier in the offseason. Plus I really don’t think that Abreu is going to come down enough to be worth it. Abreu is getting old and has been declining since he went to New York, and while he’s still a good player he isn’t what were looking for. At least with Dunn he is still young and has some good productive years ahead.

"We all know that the Braves have only $8 million to spend on Glavine and an outfielder. "
We all ASSUME that the braves have only $8-10 million to spend…
^Fixed.

Just saw this
in an article by Mark Bowman:
"While the Braves have some interest in giving Glavine the chance to strengthen the back end of their rotation, they have just $6 million to $7 million to satisfy both this interest and their need to acquire an outfielder. "
I am wondering where he gets those numbers from? To my knowledge, Liberty Media hasnt released what next years budget will be. All they have said is that they will increase from last year’s. Am I missing something?

Who the hell wants Glavine?
You’ll get better from Campillo, or Hanson/Parr/Morton, for peanuts. It’s not like he’s even an “innings eater”. He is a crappier version of Jamie Moyer.

What's ironic
Is that Jamie Moyer’s gone on record before to say how much he admired and looked up to his junior Tom Glavine, and had a tape of his 1995 game 6 performance that he watched regularly for inspiration.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
