I know we have talked about Strasburg a little bit in reference to the Draft, but I had not heard any of this information. Does anyone think this is bad news for Strasburg, or is it irrelevant dribble?

He’ll never make it to the seventh pick, so it’s irrelevant as far as the Braves are concerned. I’d like to think a good pitching coach could adjust him into a healthier delivery, but he’ll probably end up with the Nationals and they’ll rush him.

I saw him with Team USA in Durham and the dude has some serious shit. It was pretty impressive.

Mark Prior lite! No doubt that Strasburg is filthy. Just a big question mark for when he breaks down.

so its a matter of when he breaks down not “if”.. so long as his mechanics dont change

Definitely bad news

but I don’t think it will affect his draft position mainly because he is being touted as “head and shoulders” above everyone else. I’m hopeful he doesn’t fall to us, which is ridiculous to think he might. The only way in my mind he avoids injury is a change in mechanics but that doesn’t bode well for him considering the potential impacts on his “stuff”.
