Gonzalez avoids arbitration

MLBTR is reporting that closer Mike Gonzalez has signed a one year contract with the Braves for $3.45 MM.  Gonzalez appeared in 36 games last year with an 0-3 record.  He struck out 44 in 33.7 innings, with 14 saves, and a 4.28 ERA.  This will be his last season before arbitration.

I personally think that this is a good price for him.  He should enter this season as our full time closer and has the potential to dominate when healthy.  I think that if he pitching well and is healthy at mid-season we should try to resign him.
