Andruw was asked if he’d be willing to go to spring training on a minor league contract, and he said no.

Thought that was quite interesting considering Andruw's situation. But then again, this is Andruw we're talking about.

Interesting to say the least

Mark Bowman has an article explaining that the Braves are reluctant to offer AJ anything more than a minor league deal due to the 40 man roster situation.

In other news it appears that AJ has officially been released, finally.

I think it also mentions the Braves.com article that Andruw said the Mets and Reds have interest in him. But I agree, why give up a roster spot for him when he’s unwilling to take a minor league contract and is a question mark at the point.

Right now I’m laying my money on the Red’s. I think they would offer Andrew a major league contract at league minimum and i’m pretty sure they have the roster room. So the question becomes is this Andruw posturing or is he serious?
