Yep

I live in KC and the Royals are just an afterthought to most sports loving folks here. It’s a shame that a city that is sports crazy and really supports their teams can’t win in either sport. I’m from Tennessee originally and that’s why I’m such a big Braves fan. Hope springs eternal every spring training but I’m afraid the Royals will always be an also ran with moves like Dayton made this offseason.

But Kauffman stadium is a beautiful place to catch a game and seats are dirt cheap compared to most places.

I Don't Like Filler...

Do you have a link where I can see an epic ammount of it so as to make you post more palatable? Seriously, 75 words is not unreasonable.

As for the topic at hand, I do like Frank Wren and have never understood the fascination with Dayton Moore. Looks to me as though he’s largely failed in KC since taking over as the Royals GM, not just this offseason.

i probably couldve made this post at least 75 words, but i typed it at 3 in the morning, while still a little drunk. so rather than just ramble on incoherently, i posted the link and then filler’d the rest of it

hello

Im getting sick of hearing how the Braves 2009 season is a wash. They play the games for a reason,to see whos better in the end.Look at the pitching staff last year compared to this coming season.Smoltz,Glavine,Hampton are gone, but what did they produce last year?

holy shit….the guy didnt mention Hansen, Shaffer, or Heywerd…. and more importantly the post was dangerously close to making sense

"We win today, that's two in a row... if we win tomorrow, that's called a winning streak. It has happened before..."

but the post didn’t make sense. the issue is whether or not that rotation, the one with the addition of Lowe, is competitive. while we will see a MARKED improvement in quality starts, the offense is still what it was at the end of last year. Meaning that the power comes from an old, injury-prone and, well, frankly, pissed 3B in Chipper an a young, good, inexpensive C who, it seems, can’t play 140 games a year in BMac. Our SS and 2B are good, but don’t deliver the necessary pop to make up for our powerless outfield. It seems that we will have to live on pitching and defense. However, our SS is streaky in this department (while very solid) and our 2B couldn’t throw his way out of a paper-bag. Our LF is still completely unmanned, and our RF is exposed and is in danger of becoming Danny Tartabull. Yet, there is talent on this team and, with a little luck, there is a possibility of finding an inexpensive right-handed bat for LF (I still like the Prado to the Yankees for Nady idea). But we may be in for a long year.

lets be honest here.

jeff francoeur is nowhere near as successful as danny tartabull was

you have to take into context his other posts…. on that basis this post is nearly pullizter prize material

"We win today, that's two in a row... if we win tomorrow, that's called a winning streak. It has happened before..."

Yeah, you missed Swo12bv's point

That fatazfoot character is terrible. He’s almost as bad as jjcollins and his constant stream of gay-bashing. This particular post is no worse than any other post…it’s a freakin’ breakthrough!

as much as people give wren shit, he hasn’t epically fucked things up to the point of dayton moore. moore is doing a PHENOMENAL job in the draft (seriously amazing, KC’s system is excellent), but is horribly mismanaging the free agent market.

maybe he’ll trade THE MEXICUTIONER for a utility infielder and a platooning LF. i’m pretty sure we have a couple of those…

They gave Willie Bloomquist a 3 million dollar deal for two years! What happened to Dayton? I think there’s something in the water in KC that makes good baseball men retarded.
