Cool your jets...
don’t spend Daddy’s money so fast; I’ve got your bobblehead. But I want blue for it…nevermind, that sounded funnier in my head than it looks in print.
I’ll send you an email to the one you have listed in your profile tonight when I get home from work. All I’m asking is that you pay the shipping.
Love,
the big dummy michael phelps girl. (ick)
big joe
doesn’t even like bobby cox…why are you giving him a bobblehead?
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
Don't ask me to think logically, I'm at work and it's not allowed here.
First, I had an extra ticket that no one wanted; and
B, he asked – a few times – and no one else did. If anyone else had piped up (before now) that they wanted it, we could’ve had some kind of fun contest for it or something…I don’t know.
Hey...
just joking with you…well, actually it’s aimed at bigjoe. I think it’s very nice of you to get it for him, just as it was very nice for royhobbs to rescue an unattached Heap bobblehead for me earlier in the year.
This community in general makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Well, most of the time, anyway :-)
i collect obscure bobbleheads. i have a chipper macon braves one, a chipper greenville braves won, a chipper one with a head bigger than my fist, a KAZ SASAKI one, jamie moyer & cole hamels (ewwww), ray lewis & steve mcnair & eddie george, a black tim hudson, a generic chipper, a chipper DUCK, and of course…the mariner moose and a crazy crab.
bobby cox will fit in PERFECTLY with them.

hahahaha
“black” Tim Hudson. I agree, the skin tones do kind of make him look African-American. This year’s bobbleheads have been a massive success:
Bobby Cox – does not play, lots of fans hate him
Tim Hudson – season-ending injury, Tommy John variety
Mark Teixeira – traded
Brian McCann – flourished into legitimate stardom, career highs in steals, triples
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
I have...
a little tiny (about 3 inches tall) John Smoltz bobblehead from a box of cereal. It sits on my computer, along with a little longhorn steer.
I know people want to know these things….
OOOOH OOH I FORGOT ABOUT THOSE!!!
i have a chipper, an ichiro, a jeff bagwell, and a mike piazza. i remember buying a box of cereal, eating it in a day, and repeating this for 3 days until i got my chipper.

…I enjoy bobbles, but it is more fun if you get them yourself.
(Since we are comparing…) Living close to Cincy for so many years, I have Griffey, Frank Robinson, Barry Larkin, a Miguel Tejada from a Baltimore game and a Bo Jackson Barons baseball/Auburn football statue.

I like how they kept the foam neckbrace on.

I got the cereal ones too...
Smoltz, Pedro as a Red Sox, Ichiro, Mariano, and A-Rod as a Ranger.
My regular bobbleheads consists of Spahn, Babe Ruth as a Brave, Murphy, Klesko in Padre camo, Tim Hudson, and now some gray headed man that looks nothing like Bobby Cox. i’ve put low bids on the McCann one, but it looks nothing like him so i don’t want it that badly.
Saw a little BP before heading back to work...
MattE was testing out the knee, shagging flies. Hope he’ll be doing the same tomorrow when I have the camera and can stay for the whole game.
Sonofabitch...
…walk-off balk. Well I’ll be damned…
Went to the game. Started out in Section 139 by the bullpen. After the top of the first, an usher supervisor asked everyone in our section if they wanted better seats. so we followed him, and he took us to the section above the walkway behind first base. So naturally, we ended up going down into the lower bowl. When the 10th inning came, for some reason everyone started leaving. So we went all the way down the the second row, directly beside the Braves dugout. We could actually watch everyone in the dugout. It was awesome. What a time to not bring a camera.
SAH-WEEEET!
Don’t ya love it when things work out that way?!
Thanks for sharing the pics, too. Much, much better ones than my phone takes. I tried to get one of MattE talking to the fans in BP but it’s horrible!
I hope to sit next to the dugout some day…
The Walk-off Cycle
The balk got me thinking about all the various ways I’ve seen games end this year:
• Walk-off hit
• Walk-off homer
• Walk-off walk
• Walk-off balk
• Game-ending sac-fly
• Game-ending wild pitch (Royals/Yankees)
• Game-ending passed ball (Royals/Rangers)
I think the only thing I don’t think I’ve ever seen was a game that ended on a hit-batsman, this season, let alone ever.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
Braves vs Cubs...
…this year. Can’t remember the date but I will ALWAYS remember the situation. Jeff Ridgeway was in the game so the Cubs pinch-hit with Reed Johnson for Jim Edmonds. Bases loaded, and Ridgeway hit Johnson. I sat there for over a minute in total disbelief….

I remember that one too…I listened to it on XM, came back to my car from an appointment just in time to hear the end. And if it wasn’t bad enough, I had to listen to Ron Santo go all nuts on the Cubs broadcast. Nice guy, and I love his enthusiasm, but listening to him broadcast a game against your favorite team…jeez. Irritating is not a strong enough word.
