Braves Rift
Once again, I have stolen from MLBTR who posted a link to sabernomics. Some of you who regularly ready Terrence Moore at the AJC (I do not) may have already seen this (sans the sabernomics analysis). For the rest of us, it's got a few interesting bits in it, mostly about an apparent rift between Bobby Cox and Hank Aaron. Sabernomics attempts to put the dots together and connects the Cox-Aaron rift with other problems within the Braves.
I'm not sure what any of this means for the organization. Maybe it means we are spiraling down the drain, maybe it means nothing. Either way, I thought many of you would find it interesting.

Interesting, but not in a good way.
Thanks for sharing, I guess. I mean, it is good to know, just not good that it happened.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."

Hank needs to go
I mean, if he’s that bitter toward the Braves and/or Cox, he should go. Acting like an a-hole doesn’t do anything but tarnish your legacy. The article was ridiculous, and so is the fact that he wants to take credit for the drafting of Chipper Jones 18 years ago.

Agreed, but the rift has nothing to do with it...
If Aaron is working as part of a group trying to buy the Cubs (a competitior), business sense says you part company — like with Stan Kasten. The difference is that Kasten knew it was the right thing to do and left on his own. I’m not sure you’ll see Aaron do that.
