The Braves have eight games left to play this year and if the season ended right now they would have the 5th pick in nexts years draft. There is no doubt that this season will go down as dissapointing but lets look at the positives. Brian McCann continued to improve more and more as a catcher and looks like one of the best in baseball. Chipper proved that he is still one of baseballs best hitters and a good player when healthy. Jair Jurrjens proved that he should be a good one for quite awhile and Campilo was a good find. Gonzalez came back healthy and looked good. Even Hampton wasn't that bad once he got on the field. I thought that the Braves had a shot at the playoffs when the season started but it just didn't work out. We will have a lot of money to spend in the off season and should add some good players. The minor leagues are going to start producing some good ones again late in 2009 and 2010. Lets not forget that having a bad year once in awhile is not a horrable thing, look at Arizona they had a string of good seasons than had a bad one, look how they are now.
