Phils @ Braves Open Thread: Game 1

Philadelphia Phillies at Atlanta Braves, Sep 16, 2008 7:10 PM EDT

Our best rookie pitcher takes the mound tonight against the oldest player in baseball. James Parr was born in the same year that Jamie Moyer made his major league debut... that's pretty awesome.

The Braves have not done well against the Phillies this year, going 2-and-10 against them, including 0-and-6 at Turner Field.

NL Batting Race:
Chipper Jones - .365
Albert Pujols - .360

Utley

Why’d we even let him get on base? Trip him, cleat him, something…

My dream..

would be for both the Phillies and the Mets fall apart so badly that the Brewers take the wild card and the Marlins take the division.

that makes 2 of us. but that would require an extreme stroke of luck considering florida is 6 out with 13 to play.

but they’ve won 5 in a row…and are up 5-0 tonight…HMMMMMMM

Looked like to me that he didn’t even try. I’ve never liked him.

Dear Pujols

All I want this year is for the Braves to win ONE game against the Phillies at home this season. Just one.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
