Rox @ Braves Open Thread: Game 3

Colorado Rockies at Atlanta Braves, Sep 11, 2008 7:10 PM EDT

Time to win the series Braves!  For some reason this series seem like it's gone four games, but it hasn't.  Maybe it's just the weird time warp this time of year when you're following a losing team.

Aw, man...

I hate it when it’s not on SS, ‘cause I can’t catch a replay of what I missed when I get stuck at work!

Haha

Sometimes when it’s a good win, I’ll leave the replay on while I’m on the computer.

1,198 men LOB by the Braves this year. Worst in majors.

Wow, that is shitty. But boy is that Francouer cute.

Awful

BTW, where can you look that up?

Saw a sign on the broadcast last night

(I’m paraphrasing, but you get the point)

Saw some interesting signs at the park

“Desperate House Braves” held by a whole bunch of rough-looking cougars behind home plate.

“FRANCOEUR I WANT YOUR BABIES” thrown up real quick by using the bait-and-switch method of her good looking friend holding up a more innocent “go braves” sign to draw a camera man, and then putting her sign up to be seen on the big screen.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

NL single season LOB record is 1328

AL one is 1334.

Link

I won’t include today’s game since it’s unfinished, but we’re on pace for 1330 LOB! Go team!

dAMMIT

Matt Holliday. Stay cute, but don’t do that crap.

Keep forgetting I have all caps on to do this stupid project.

by Lizziebeth on Sep 11, 2008 7:59 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Is Holliday cuter than Frenchy? or Josh Hamilton?

What’s this stupid project you have to do?

by VictorW on Sep 11, 2008 8:03 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Hmmmm....

Not really sure!

It’s a work project; last minute-get-all-hysterical (except me) document audit by the GA State Finance Commission relating to the Hope Scholarship distribution of funds.
Yes, I know…yawn.

I think I’ll have to go with Hamilton.

That does sound like a yawnfest. You work at a school?

by VictorW on Sep 11, 2008 8:15 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Sigh…yes, one of those awful “for-profit” universities.
Almost time to clock out and go.
Whoo!

by Lizziebeth on Sep 11, 2008 8:21 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Is it really that bad?

And besides, aren’t they all for profit anyway?

by VictorW on Sep 11, 2008 8:25 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

oh...

is it that one on Peachtree right next to Maggiones? or whatever? I can’t think of the name of it. I stayed at the hotel right door when I was there in May. Courtyard by Marriott, I think.

I work for a university as well….

A little surprised Yuni's in the game tonight...

due to performance last night. Consensus around me was that he would sit.

by Lizziebeth on Sep 11, 2008 8:01 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I don’t have the exact specifics, but he missed a couple of catches, and what appeared to be an easy double play where he didn’t even try to throw for one out. Will try to post some more pics when I get home, but the game may be over by then.

by Lizziebeth on Sep 11, 2008 8:12 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

That's a shame

Don’t expect that from Yunel.

Love the pics. Keep posting when you get the chance!
