To answer your question

not one I am enjoying watching. But I am just ready for roster expansion and see who is brought up and who will contribute next year cause we have a lot of money coming off the books but we have far more needs

i don’t even wanna go to the game today..haha

Following the Braves...one long hard drink at a time.

Teix

And the Angels, rolling along on the station formerly known as The Braves Station

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Tex grounded out though.

He hasn’t really been tearing it up since heading to Anaheim.

by mburris1 on Aug 3, 2008 1:20 PM EDT up reply actions

I know

I’m more implying the fact that there is a baseball game to watch prior to our own. The grounder would’ve been a Vidro if not for Scioscia sending the runners there, anyway.

I get Headline News on TBS because the Yanks are on YES where I live (as always). Michael Kay is bad enough sometimes, but at least its not Chip.

by VegasAces on Aug 3, 2008 1:44 PM EDT up reply actions

Wilson Betemit just Vidro’d to end the inning.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

by royhobbs on Aug 3, 2008 1:47 PM EDT up reply actions

Hopefully

They’ll draw out these at-bats, and like Blanco just did, call for time every now and then to disrupt Sheets’ rhythm.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

by royhobbs on Aug 3, 2008 1:49 PM EDT reply actions

Wow

That was an awesome at-bat for Kots, with a great finish!

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Kotchman

seems to be a ground ball to first base machine.

by mburris1 on Aug 3, 2008 1:56 PM EDT reply actions

How do we keep Infante in the lineup

When Chipper comes back?

Have Omar play LF when Blanco goes to CF on Kotsay’s days off, perhaps?

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

by royhobbs on Aug 3, 2008 1:57 PM EDT reply actions

Nice double

way to wait on that pitch for infante

by Sparhawk on Aug 3, 2008 1:58 PM EDT reply actions

Miscommunication, perhaps?

It almost looked like Branyan was afraid of running right into Infante.

No Surprise There

Last out by Frenchy.

Come on Francoeur, time to step your game up. Man, his slump has lasted a lot longer than I thought.

by Sparhawk on Aug 3, 2008 2:02 PM EDT reply actions

The whole year?

Yeah, a little longer than most of us thought.

by mburris1 on Aug 3, 2008 2:03 PM EDT up reply actions

Did you hear the pitchers we're facing?

Sabathia, Sheets, Cain, Lincecum, Webb, and Haren?

That’s as much of a gauntlet as like watching American Gladiators.

by royhobbs on Aug 3, 2008 2:13 PM EDT up reply actions

If we had to face Wolf...

Oi Vey. We wouldn’t live to tell about it.

by mburris1 on Aug 3, 2008 2:14 PM EDT up reply actions

Haha

I’m glad we’re out west yesterday. It gives me time to watch the 2-hr finale of the show.

And I’m right up there with you. I like to think I’ll put a sleep timer on, and watch west coast baseball, but then I normally end up staying up through it all anyway. The only difference is that this season, I don’t try to pretend anymore.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Last summer I was in Vegas

That made everything easy.

Baseball on the radio coming home from work and then the late games on at a reasonable hour.

Beautiful thing.

by mburris1 on Aug 3, 2008 2:21 PM EDT up reply actions

What

You didn’t indulge in the 51s??

It was so weird trying to pay attention to Braves baseball when out west. Turning on the tv at 11 a.m. on a Sunday, and seeing the Braves already beating up on the Pirates or something like that.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

by royhobbs on Aug 3, 2008 2:24 PM EDT up reply actions

I actually did make it out to Cashman Field a couple times

But being from OKC means I am more than familiar with the look and feel of AAA baseball.

Plus, OKC has a better stadium.

by mburris1 on Aug 3, 2008 2:27 PM EDT up reply actions

OKC = Oklahoma City?

Just making sure. Wanting to ask about the NBA team formerly known as the Seattle Supersonics, and if they are going to remain Sonics, or get a new team name.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

by royhobbs on Aug 3, 2008 2:30 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, Oklahoma City

Clay Bennett agreed to leave the team name and colors in Seattle, so if they get a new team in the future, they can be the Sonics.

They have yet to pick anything yet, but they have a few candidates. I think they are dumb. Barons, Wind, Energy, Marshalls.

But I am not really an NBA fan anyway, so whatever.

Not from those parts.

But that just sweetens the deal…

by mburris1 on Aug 3, 2008 2:48 PM EDT up reply actions

There's a reason

Why I make the cougar jokes so frequently, because they come out in droves in Atlanta; the 40+ women with no ring, pink Braves gear, and occasionally amidst a group of college-aged guys.

Fielder was a split second away from axing his bat into home plate after popping up. Looks like he’s getting his temper in check, or maybe he doesn’t want to slash himself up a la Troy Tulowitzki.

He's a stud

Doesn’t walk people. Strike outs above average. HRs below average. Pitches like a fearless vet. Him or Jair for RotY.

Watch it just go to Fukudome, and create a huge shitstorm around the fans of the internet.

by royhobbs on Aug 3, 2008 3:46 PM EDT up reply actions

OMG Fukudome has started in more all star games than Campillo

And his team is making the playoffs! And he’s won Gold Gloves and batting titles in Japan, which Campillo never has. If that doesn’t scream RotY, then I don’t know what does.

VICTOOOOOOOOOOOOORY! i was sitting in right, and you could see me when francoeur made his perfectly average catch that everyone went crazy for. i’m a nice shade of red/brown right now, which is always a good thing. also, just some quick notes.

never, ever get a cheesesteak at tastes of the majors. HORRIBLE.
