Erik Cordier scouting report
* Looked about 6'1", not his listed height of 6'3"; His listed weight of 214 lbs. looked about right
* First pitch of the game was 93 MPH
* 90-93 fastball MPH throughout; topped out at 94 MPH
* Easy, fluid delivery when at 90 MPH; Visibly strained to get up to 93 MPH
* Flashed 84-86 MPH changeup; Left it up in the zone
* Serious let up on the change; lacked follow through on the pitch
* Curveball in the upper 70's
* Curveball hit hard; lacked bite
* Visibly struggled with curveball feel between innings
* Even keel on the mound; Secondary stuff was lacking, but he worked efficiently and kept attacking

I stood next to him in spring training. I’m 6’2" and he was taller than me.

Maybe I'm wrong....
But he looked smaller from about 8 rows up. I sat behind the 3B dugout so I could get the best look possible at the Braves lefties so I got a good look at him. A few of the Braves looked shorter than their listed heights.

Height’s one of those funny things in baseball, some guys they want to be taller, some shorter. Without looking at the Rome roster, I know they always list Cole Miles to be taller. Mississippi’s Matt Young regularly gets listed at 5’8" and he’s every bit of 5’5". A good way to really judge is catch guys face to face on even ground (usually leaving the game). But as far as Cordier goes, I can definitely verify that’s he’s at least 6’2"
