Nice quick inning

Whew! for all the first inning woes for the Braves it was good to see Mort have a quick inning.

Hopefully this will be a trend for the game.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

What a tease Kelly. Damn, just a couple more feet.

by Sparhawk on Aug 28, 2008 7:31 PM EDT reply actions

Close...

Kelly woulda gotten that last year.

3 first inning walks = 0 runs. Sounds about right

by VictorW on Aug 28, 2008 7:32 PM EDT reply actions

no kidding

What’s going on with Kelly this year? He doesn’t look like he’s enjoying playing at all.

by Sparhawk on Aug 28, 2008 7:34 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah I was expecting another nice year from him

I don’t think Cox really appreciates Kelly and it looks like he’s swinging at more pitches out of the strike zone than last year.

C'mon Mort!

Hope he keeps this up! He’s looking confident tonight.

Good question

Out of town? At the game? Busy? Watching a team that wins more?

by VictorW on Aug 28, 2008 7:42 PM EDT up reply actions

Ding!

At the game (see pictures).

Putin' a Charge

Braves are really hitting the ball hard…too bad that most are right at someone.

Tough luck continues for Frenchy.

No, it's on the TV

Just making a comment. I was also checking something else out online as well.

by Sparhawk on Aug 28, 2008 7:47 PM EDT reply actions

Ah I see

Surprised we only have 1 run after all those base runners

by VictorW on Aug 28, 2008 7:49 PM EDT up reply actions

Chipper with the let down

I’m kinda surprised too. Man, hope that won’t haunt us.

Anderson

Wow, how comfortable does Anderson look in center? Man, he looks like he’s been playing out there for years for the Braves. Making it look easy!

by Sparhawk on Aug 28, 2008 7:53 PM EDT reply actions

Aflac Triviac question

Only Brave to hit 30 HR in a season? Really there’s only one? Klesko comes to mind… Or maybe Chipper when he was playing left for a while?

by VictorW on Aug 28, 2008 8:08 PM EDT reply actions

chipper in 99 hit 45…

Ooops I didn't type "Left Field"

Shoulda been: Only Braves Left Fielder to hit 30 HR in a season.

by VictorW on Aug 28, 2008 8:35 PM EDT up reply actions

I thought Ron Gant

But it’s Klesko. Can’t believe I had forgotten about him. He used to be one of my favorite Braves.

by Sparhawk on Aug 28, 2008 8:10 PM EDT reply actions

Well...

Gant – 3 seasons of 30+ homers.

Klesko – 1 season of 30+ homers

by Sparhawk on Aug 28, 2008 8:20 PM EDT reply actions

Haha

Yeah apparently Joe and Boog are saying the trivia guys messed up. Someone else with 40 HRs in LF for the Braves before too.

by VictorW on Aug 28, 2008 8:22 PM EDT up reply actions

anderson has reached base 3 times? wow, he came to play ball.

and GOOD CHUCK showed up. awesome.

No joke. Have we found our starting center fielder / lead-off man for ’09?

I hope so…

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Anderson looked good tonight.

I guess I should be one to talk.
There's nights that I can't even walk.
There's days I couldn't give a fuck.
And in between is where I'm stuck.

Morton too...

…11/3 GB/FB ratio

I guess I should be one to talk.
