I think that is right, because in his Junior season he went 18-1 with a .45 ERA and 224 Ks in 105 innings. Those are the most retarded stats i have ever seen

in 2002 as a senior in high school, Scott kazmir struck out 172 batters in 75 innings of work, he was 11-2 with a 0.37 ERA

scary thing is his junior season may have been better, he threw 4 straight no hitters. on the fifth game he gave up a hit with one out to go in the game. ever the perfectionist he then threw two more no hitters in a row… making one hit in 7 games. he had six times as many strikeouts as he had allowed runners on line.

"We win today, that's two in a row... if we win tomorrow, that's called a winning streak. It has happened before..."

Is he from the loins of pujols?

"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."

Top Draft Pick signs

The Atlanta Braves have signed left-handed pitcher Brett DeVall, their first pick in the amateur draft last month. DeVall was drafted in the supplemental first round, 40th overall in the country. He is six-foot-four and weighs 220 pounds. DeVall went to Niceville High School in Florida. He was 13-2 in his senior season, with only 25 walks and 152 strikeouts.

DeVall had signed a scholarship to the University of Georgia. The Braves saw a lot of DeVall when he played with the East Cobb team in Marietta. DeVall has a fastball that can touch the low-90s, along with a curve and changeup. He will report to the Gulf Coast League in Orlando Tuesday.

The Braves have now signed 21 of their draft picks, 11 being pitchers.

Jacob Thompson Plans on signing

Jacob Thompson says he plans to sign with the Braves some time next week. This is extremely good news since many thought he would return to Virginia for his Senior season to boost his draft status.

Sweet!

...but I don’t see evidence of that in the article that you posted. Where did you get the information? Word of mouth?

By the way, thanks for all the updates!
