Braves @ Sushi: Rubber Game Rainbow Roll

Atlanta Braves @ Florida Marlins

Damn! I think I just got myself in the mood for sushi tonight.

If I say that the Braves "need" to win this game does that mean they'll play "extra" hard?

I'm trying a new thing and putting the game thread up at the exact time the game starts to see if this lineup feature works or not. I've got to finally give all these newfangled SBN features a full shaking out.

I’m sure Huddy’s pitching, getting everybody out, thinking “whats the point, i’ll lose 1-0.”

Nah, he'll get a ND

because the bullpen will cough it up after Bobby pulls him out for a PH in order to try and “spark” the offense.

Bobby

Did anyone happen to see Bobby get ejected on Sunday (which led to the suspension last night)? I missed it. What was the BFD?

by davesawyer on Jul 23, 2008 8:10 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

he didn’t do anything bad, he was tossed the moment he walked out of the dugout. it was a bullshit call, a bullshit ejection, and a bullshit suspension

by bigjoe on Jul 23, 2008 8:13 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I figured he had punched an ump out or something. Damn – a game suspension sounds heavy handed.

Thanks for the update.

Jordan Schafer

Is now hitting .209 with a 715 OPS for Mississippi.

Can you honestly give him the job next year?

I don’t think so. I say Jordan needs to start next year in AAA.

The outfield is looking GREAT for next year…...

by NEBravesFan33 on Jul 23, 2008 8:16 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

i say he needs to start next year back in mississippi. all he’s proven is that he can take a walk. thats it. i’d love to see an OF of him & heyward in MISS next year…that might be enough to get me down there

by bigjoe on Jul 23, 2008 8:16 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Heyward will be

in Myrtle Beach to start next year, by the time he gets to Mississippi, Schafer better be in ATL or at least AAA.

by NEBravesFan33 on Jul 23, 2008 8:21 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

him & freeman could probably skip myrtle with the way they’re hitting in rome this season. oh jeezus, i just realized that a possible OF is schafer, hernandez, & heyward. dear lord in heaven would that rule hard

by bigjoe on Jul 23, 2008 8:22 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

You didn’t finish your statement.

"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."

Friday's lineup should be

Blanco, Yunel, Mac, Teix, Kelly, and who ever else after them IF Chipper is going to be out for awhile.

Just getting sick of Bobby putting Kelly in the three hole when imo, Mac should be the 3rd place hitter when the lineup is lineup Chipperless…....hahahaha…
