If only our #1, 6, 7 and 8 hitters were half as good as the other part of the lineup, man would we be a lot better and the standings would show that.

What should Wrenn look to upgrade?

the outfield. by far. dump them all. sign a shitload of free agents. schafer is DEFINITELY not ready to start, considering down in pearl, his average is lower than the walking corpse’s. kotsay has slumped horribly since he’s come back, you can tell the back is still bothering him. blanco can walk, but he can’t hit worth a lick and has the power of a flea.

my thoughts exactly, it’s just too bad there isn’t any other Chippers or McCanns available or we would be set.

If the Braves are buyers (i wouldn’t be if i was wren), I’ve been hearing that they’re interested in the former Met Xavier Nady and he can play 1st.

i’d rather have bay. at least he’s consistently good as opposed to nady who’s…not

by bigjoe on Jul 22, 2008 9:02 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

but the price for bay is said to be a lot more than it would be for Nady…..like two very high ceiling prospects and more which imo Bay is not worth by a long shot
