That’s rhetorical… but what is he REALLY suspended for? F-bombs? Since when?
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
No Gregor
Don’t sas the ump…you are too young and too unknown.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
The stupid Marlins announcers...
...really do actually call Willingham the Hammer. Every time.
Do they understand what they are doing?
OH HOLY SHIT
the fucking marlins announcers just said not having andruw jones and edgar renteria is a reason FOR US STRUGGLING. fucking REALLY?
I'll have a scotch on the rock, please.
(Shareholders meeting)
so...
open-thread participation has really fallen off lately, huh?
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
The bigjoe & jug show...
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
Morton's
got pretty good velocity tonight at least.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"

Chipper & Smoltz
Playing backgammon… would love to have been there for that.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
Could they play that on SportsSouth occasionally
instead of the Francouer documentary?
In this new wing world,
anything is possible.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
Well
We can swing by Sugarloaf on the way up, and look for some of Mike Vick’s leftover dog cages, and stage some cage fighting of a different variety if you want.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

"Have you ever had your heart broken?"

Just the gut?
I assumed a right-hook to the jaw would be in order. Or, a frog-splash from the top ropes. Which you prefer. I deserve it.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
Hmm
Didn’t we destroy Vanden Hurk on his debut against us, and then he became unhittable for the next two starts?

What a shot.
Too bad it wasn’t clutch.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
I dunno
But I always think it’s funny when they claim a ball is too high whether or not to determine whether it’s a homer or foul.

I believe that was
a Major League reference.

Every time I heard Chino Cadahia’s name, I think about that analogy gondeee made about seeing him coming out of the shower in the locker room.

"Have you ever had your heart broken?"

I am still crying
and smashing shit.
But, strangely, I’m also numb…as if I’ve seen that happen before. Many, many times before.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
Which...
I’m sorry Bobby or Fupa, all due respect, why do you continue to hit FYF 6th? He is 3-22 with bases loaded. Clearly, Chipper, Tex, and McCann are men. I’d rather see Kelly batting 6th, Kotsay 7th, Pitcher 8th, FYF 9th.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
No point
In complaining about it. I’m laughing – resigned to the fact that if we win, it is most certainly LOL worthy.

Is it dusty in here?
Doesn't matter
We’ll get shut out my Kevin Gregg and his lame Kareem Abdul Jabbar glasses and funky facing the batter pitching stance.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
Not Surprising
That Jeff, Kelly and Mark K. couldn’t do nothing with the bases loaded. Like the broadcaster, just one of the many things wrong with this team

Note to Francoeur and the Braves in the bottom of the lineup
That’s how you hit with runners on base.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"

Which former Marlin to we have in th eminors?
The guy who killed everyone during Spring Training? Why don’t we call him up or something? it’s not like we can do any worse.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
We could always do worse
We could lose to the Nationals by 9 at home…Oh wait, shit…
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
but the brightside to that game was that Bobby got another ejection…..oh and lets not forget the two meaningless home runs Teix hit

Serious question:
Francoeur…Bad year? Or, pitchers figured him out and he isn’t adjusted, therefore not going to get better.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
I honestly think that he has never had to make adjustments before...
when you grow up a legend, you don’t learn how to work through problems when you face people as talented as you.
But I agree with The Natural, it’s both.
believe it or not, his K/BB is actually drastically down this year, so we can’t blame that. his GIDP/PA though, its through the fucking roof…which is actually worse
That's the thing
He is leading the team with 69 SOs, I believe. Which, honestly, 69 strikeouts at this point in the year is not TERRIBLE by any means, but his flirting with the Mendosa line and flirting with .000 with RISP is HORRIFIC.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."
Lance Barkdale
He’s kinda inconsistent with the calling of breaking balls and sliders.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
Similar / Different
John Lannan
Kirk Vanden Hurk
Cole Hamels
Oliver Perez
One of those is not like the other. But what they all have in common is that they’re all in the NL East, and they own us like slaves before the Civil War.

yeah, charlie needs to go back to richmond…i said from the getgo he’s not fucking ready. BRING ME THE HEAD OF TOM GLAVINE ON A STICK
To Chuck's credit
He should have had at least a 1 or 2 run lead and been out of the inning with a K, rather than the BB and HR.
"Have you ever had your heart broken?"
"Yeah, when we lost the pennant in '87."

If only our #1, 6, 7 and 8 hitters were half as good as the other part of the lineup, man would we be a lot better and the standings would show that.

This offseason
What should Wrenn look to upgrade?
by ChipperTeixeira89 on Jul 22, 2008 8:49 PM EDT reply actions
the outfield. by far. dump them all. sign a shitload of free agents. schafer is DEFINITELY not ready to start, considering down in pearl, his average is lower than the walking corpse’s. kotsay has slumped horribly since he’s come back, you can tell the back is still bothering him. blanco can walk, but he can’t hit worth a lick and has the power of a flea.
my thoughts exactly, it’s just too bad there isn’t any other Chippers or McCanns available or we would be set.
by ChipperTeixeira89 on Jul 22, 2008 8:53 PM EDT up reply actions
he would be a better option than Dunn

by ChipperTeixeira89 on Jul 22, 2008 8:56 PM EDT up reply actions
Oh I wouldn’t be opposed to getting DeJesus, just that he isn’t exactly a power guy. But definitely would be if he came to the ATL.

If the Braves are buyers (i wouldn’t be if i was wren), I’ve been hearing that they’re interested in the former Met Xavier Nady and he can play 1st.

its less to do with moylan and more to do with the other half of the order. and escobar isn’t exempt either too. his OPS had dropped off by a good deal…i know its expected, and better than renteria…but still. fuck
you can say the same about Chipper, I know it’s hard to continue the great start he got off too. However his numbers have dropped significantly over the last month and a half or so

I'd be willing to trade him for a 30 year old single A player
If the other team would take his salary, and I bet Cox would too. Bobby seemed pretty frustrated with him and his “injuries” this year.
I hope you’re joking because Soriano is one of our better relievers when healthy. And I know health has been a concern with him, but you can say the same with Gonzo and now Moylan. It happens….and it just so happens that those three are the best they have.

Every game, at least once or twice
Heap hits what I like to call a “super-pull,” where he crushes something easily the distance of a homer, into foul territory. And then once he super-pulls something, he’ll never see that pitch again despite looking for it.

Oh well, at least the Mets lost. At this point, I have two remaining hopes for this season:
1- Chipper gets the batting title.
2- Anyone but the Mets wins the East.
