Perez was talked about last summer as someone who was supposedly available. Yankees were on him I think.

I saw that the A's...

...signed some 16 year old to a $4 million signing bonus.

I'm gettin' out of this town alive...even if it kills me.

that would be Inoa

16 yrs old with a mid-90s fastball.

Why did we have to package Neftali Feliz in the Teixeira deal? I still can’t believe all the talent we traded away, we’ll mis Feliz most.

Correct…I couldn’t remember his name off the top of my head.

Question

Don’t take this as condescending, because it is an honest question. But how does the Rangers organization compare to ours or anybody else’s for that matter? I mean, their #1 could be our #8, right? Just curious.

Still its a valid point, Feliz is good, but I would have given him up for a chance at the playoffs last year.

Rangers were ranked higher than the Braves in BA’s talent rankings. Something like 4 or 5, though I don’t have my book with me now.

BA had Feliz #5 IIRC. Andrus was #1. Goldstein had Feliz #1.

oh

well thanks for the info. I was hoping maybe they weren’t ranked so well.

the rangers are considered one of the best systems around lately, largely due to the talent we gave them last year. And also consider they traded Edinson Volquez to Cinci for Hamilton and he will probably start the All Star Game.

I see...

I ask questions, I get answers. And as usual, ignorance was bliss.

Carlos Perez is supposedly one of the top Latin American player’s available in this year Internaion signign period so hopefully him and Teheran will make up for the loss of Neftali

looks like we have been making a strong move on the international market the past couple of season.

Did I dream this...

...Or I thought we were supposed to be looking into the Japanese market and forming an alliance or something with a team in the NBL. I haven’t heard anything more about this, so I’m not sure if I made it up or what. Any idea?

More Signings

The braves have signed out of Taiwan:

- RHP Wei-Chen Huang for $125,000.

- C Meng-Hsiu Tsai for $100,000

Reported by the Taiwan Baseball Blog, Huang is an 18 year old righty at 6′0, 185 lbs with a fastball that tops out at 90, with a curve and change.

Also from the Taiwan Baseball Blog, Tsai is a 5′11, 190 pound that shows an above-average arm and reportedly had interest from the Red Sox, Twins, and Mariners, as well.

Have the Braves ever had an Asian player?

None come to mind, but it is still early in the morning for me.

Jung Bong, South Korean
Bruce Chen – yeah, he’s a native of Panama, but he’s really Chinese.

Jung Sung-ki, South Korean – reliever in the minor leagues. Won one of the minor league team awards last year, but he is a part of our organization.

No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

TC is actually mentioned on this article. His Myrtle Beach numbers are pretty sick.

Asian Braves Players

I remember Jung Bong – 2003, he was from South Korea I believe. I first thought of Bruce Chen, but he was from Panama. So yeah, not many at all.

Ah, I do remember Jung Bong!

Are these guys going to be the next Dice-K or Johjima?
