The wild card with Teixeira and, especially, Holliday is the Angels, who need a big bat and have hinted at a willingness to build a deal around pitching prospect Nick Adenhart.

Everything I’ve read in LA papers seems to indicate the Angels aren’t looking to do
anything major.

They never do, but sooner or later the fans and the owner are going to get sick of being beaten by the Red Sox(probably happen this year too). The team needs a bat and a lot of their stud prospects(Wood, Kotchman, Kendrick, Adenhart, Mathis) didn’t pan out or took a little longer. Vlad Guerrero isn’t getting any younger. Kotchman and Adenhart would be a nice haul. Maybe Walden will be included. If you need to get him by trading Ohman, do it.

Smoltz isn't similar to Eckerlsey. He's better. Much better.

I know it's "only spring training," but is it time to be concerned about McLouth?
