Teix is heating up.

It looks like Teix is starting to heat up.  Take a look at his stats from the last ten games (listed below, coutesy of Yahoo! Sports.) By no means is he knocking the cover off the ball, but he does have 13 RBI, 12 hits, and 6 BB.   On the other side he does have 5Ks, but he is a power hitter none-the-less.

Thoughts?

This Is What Everyone Has Been Saying...

Check out his most recent Three-Year Split (2005-2007):

March: .262/.321/.485 (.806)
April: 263/.353/.444 (.797)
May: .316/.392/.560 (.952)
June: .277/.361/.545 (.906)
July: .272/.365/.474 (.839)
August: .308/.408/.609 (1.017)
September: .317/.396/.634 (1.030)

Despite a minor dip in the dog days of summer, his post-AS game OPS is about 100 points higher than it was before then and it was still respectable then. This season has not gone to form, with a better MArch than usual followed by a weak May, but I trust that he’ll get back on track sooner rather than later. What hurting him this year is that he can’t hit right-handed (i.e. v. LHP) but he’s been a historically well-balanced switch-hitter and, with Chipper in the clubhouse, I think he’ll get that sorted out.

Please check out my blog at http://thefulldeck.blogspot.com/ , now redesigned and recommited!

The fact that he hasn’t been hitting LHP well is a bit strange, considering he is a “natural” right handed hitter. It might have something to do with facing more RHPs that LHPs so far this season, but that might be a bit of a stretch.

I just noticed that my post above cut off the second half of the chart. But that’s alright, you (or at least I) can still see the OPS to the right of the advertisement. Thanks for those number ej.
