Sell-out for sure..
No doubt about it. When an accomplished Major Leaguer makes an appearance at a minor league stadium, look out. The place will be packed like never before. I know this from experience.

When in Rome....
do as the Romans do.
I had to say that.

I’m still not entirely sure what it means.

It means
I.) Speak Latin
II.) Wear a tunic or a toga
III.) Watch some gladiators
IV.) All hail Caesar!
Means to adapt to the local culture.

Therefore in Rome, GA...
I.) Speak with a twang
II.) Wear whatever, as long as it has a nice red GA clay stain on it
III.) Watch some braves
IV.) All hail Smoltzie!
Dippin’ is optional, at least for the ladies…

Scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundreds of years ago.

from MLB.com: Smoltz's next outing may be put on hold
Bout with flu could hold righty back from rehab assignment
The Braves have tentatively scheduled Smoltz to continue his Minor League rehab assignment with Class A Rome on Thursday, when it hosts Asheville. If the 41-year-old right-hander continues to feel sick, he may not make this appearance until Friday or Saturday.

As of 6:37 pm Wednesday....
.....Carroll Rogers at the AJC (who, by the way, runs that blog the way it should be, so just git rid of DOB already…..) had this to say:
“Smoltz is still on schedule to pitch tomorrow night in Rome and maybe one more time over the weekend.”
Oh yeah – I’ve already got tickets for Sunday, so maybe that’ll be the one more time….

They maybe do the whole ‘back to back’ days thing…so you might not luck out.

Looking at the State Mutual stadium diagram...
which side is the Braves dugout? I can make out the penis diagram at home plate just fine, but the description on the dugouts is unclear. Just in case it’s not the traditional home team on the right…
btw, thanks for the tip on the Carroll Rogers blog, somehow I’ve missed it ‘til now.

Braves are on the 3rd base side for some reason

I've often wondered....
If you notice during day games and the first part of night games, the sun is BRUTAL shining into the visitor’s dugout. I don’t know if the team assigned dugouts that way, but it is what it is!

So, any recommendations...
on which section to sit in? I’m eyeing 103 & 105 because I like to see into the dugout, but 104 & 106 look good, too. What are your observations/opinions secondbass?

Sorry...
......I was gone by 3:00, so I couldn’t reply to your post. For future reference, I have small kids, so I like to be behind the net. I’m also a cheapskate, so I get the $6 seats in section 204. They’re in the upper level, but that’s still not far from the field there in Rome, and it’s practically behind home plate. Great seats!
