I have watched the replay a dozen times and I still aren’t really sure what Church was doing. Honestly, I thought Church gave Yunel the business a bit on the pop-up slide the first time. But, it wasn’t what I’d call a “dirty” play, just sort of cheap I guess. The final play, it was as if Church wasn’t intending to slide at all; he just sort of turned his body sideways and threw it at Yunel. I don’t get it. As skipcaray above said ”...if you use your dome as a battering ram…” you are bound to get hurt.

I don’t think we need to retaliate. We are 1 game away from a convincing 4 game sweep, and despite Santana taking the mound, I like our chances. I would normally, and did earlier, say we should plunk somebody in the ribs just to show that we aren’t going to take this crap. But, in the end, we have enough problems with injuries that we don’t need some suspensions to go on top of it.

I do wish the Mets would all get food poisoning or something (not the deadly kind) just for karma’s sake.
