Mets @ Braves: Game 2
New York @ Atlanta
Nice to see Tom Glavine beat his old team (that sounds weird) and get today's double-header started off right. Hopefully the rain will hold off tonight and we can get the second game in without any trouble.
In game two we get to see how Jorge Campillo handles starting in the major leagues.
His last major league start was on August 2nd, 2005 for the Mariners against the Tigers in which he lasted one inning before leaving with an injured elbow. He's been pretty good so far this year, and we certainly don't need any more injuries, so here's to hoping Jorge stays healthy and pitches productively.

Remember Oscar Villarreal's spot start that one year?
5.0 IP, 1H, 0ER, 1BB, 4K.
Lofty goals for the 08 Oscar to attempt. But whatever, we must protect this house.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

Campillo - Villareal
I do remember, and I hope Campillo can do the same. For what we’ve been hearing, he’s going to ROCK the house. Screw Santana, Wright, and Reyes. We GOT this.

This weekend...
...it was said that Campillo is looking to throw around 75 pitches, so there’s a pretty good chance Bennett comes it afterwards. After that we got Resop, Ring, and Stockman who did not pitch this afternoon.
Could be interesting. I hope for our sake the offense pounds Vargas early and often.

I'd love to do it...

this is gonna be an interesting night, because despite not having beer, i’m watching DEATHMATCHES on my TV while i’ll be watching the game on my comp. this is awesome.
by bigjoe on May 20, 2008 6:32 PM EDT 0 recs
watch out for that comp watching
seriously – someone will be up to bat and you’ll see SmoltzsBeard posting a congratulatory message and you’ll be confused until the AB is ruined for you…..
BigJoe is FOR SURE my pick for NAHWAL editor. Sdp would be fine also, but not my pick to click.
