so...
what the hell happened? We steal bases and are patient at the plate making him throw 45 through 2.

Oh you didn't hear?
When the A’s came through we actually stole their patience.

That's why you don't run all the time I suppose.
I’m happy to see us taking chances at least, but I hope that doesn’t bite us on the ass.

WFIS.
That’s worked all season for me so far.

there is a site that a friend of my uses for sports
You have to download some software, but you can get some games that way.

Looks like Glavine...
...threw about 20 pitches in the 2nd and 3rd inning. Very nice.
by Smoltz's Beard on May 20, 2008 2:13 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
It's really a thing of beauty
When the old Leo-style of pitching low and away is so consistently visible when you see Glavine’s pitch-trax. So consistently, do all the pitches only get the low and away portion of the K-zone. Nothing ever really erratic, no pitches all over the place.

The other good part

Reasoning
Chip’s commentary during the ALDS, and him saying that Andy Pettitte vs. Fausto Carmona was the greatest pitching matchup in the entire history of baseball postseason.

man
I honestly don’t think he’s all that bad. Why does everyone hate him? I mean, sure, he doesn’t really give us much insight…

Same. He isn’t my favorite, but I had no idea so many people hated him.

Chip ain't so bad
But then again I love his Dad. On the rare occasions when he gets TV I make sure to watch. Also who doesn’t love his “Foul ball…and a fan from Cairo Georgia sangs a souvenir..” bit. I mean, how does he know where all these people are from?!

Haha...
...Joe and Boog certainly won some points in my book with their most recent broadcast.
by Smoltz's Beard on May 20, 2008 3:42 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Those two
Have chemistry. Listening them laugh at Heap’s triple, Joe Morgan laughed like Butthead, and well, Boog sometimes has the Beavis hair. But their take on the entire situation made it a whole lot funnier than it was.

It's so nice having...
...competent pinch-hitters on the bench in Gotay and Norton. I got so used to seeing Woodward and Orr pop the first pitch up, or strike out in 3 pitches.

True
But damn, do I miss Pete Orr. He’s like the Braves’ equivalent of Rudy. My roommate used to work with Pete Orr’s wife too. They lived in Peachtree City, near Huddy, as well.

Took me a second to recollect… but damn… whew, I’m wiping away a tear on that one.
There’s also one I like to call the “Dustin Pedroia” face, the way he stretches his face in between every at bat, like he’s got dried up boogers irritating him or something.
