Yessssss!!!!!! The Braves signed minor league free agent catcher Sal Fasano and added him to Richmond's roster.

Isn't this the second time we've signed Fasano to a minor league deal? Nonetheless, I'm psyched! Look out Corky!

Whew! We were really hurting for catchers, what with only having 3 on the major league roster.

I like this move. Sal Fasano is one of the better defensive catchers in baseball. If Corkey Miller doesn't cut it, Fasano is a viable option. If nothing else, he'll be in AAA with Clint Sammons every day, who'll be able to learn from Fasano's 15 plus seasons in pro ball. It's like giving Sammy his own personal catching coach.
