Steven Evarts

This kid hasnt pitched in quite some time in rome.  Did I miss something?  Why is he not pitching?

With Locke's new found success I like the odds of either Hanson, Locke, Evarts, or Rodgers being a front line big league starter one day.

Also, How long do you guys think it will be before Hanson gets moved up to AA mississippi to face some stiffer competition?  I doubt he has moce more to prove in A advanced, and i expect him to burn through AA in similar fasion.

We shall see about Hanson. If he keeps up what he is doing i can’t see him staying in MB too much longer. But they might just keep him there until the draft to give him a little more time. Right now he is putting himself in our rotation picture for next year which is scary. I don’t know anything about Evarts. I’ve been looking all over the web and can’t find anything about what happened to him. Going by past braves history, when a guy just disappears for no reason it means he got suspended. And Evarts had some behavioral issues before we drafted him. It coulc have something to do with that but there isn’t anyway to know until they do a press release.

Found this

From the Rome paper:
“Note: Braves pitcher Steven Evarts was placed on the disabled list. Joining Rome will be Casey Beck from extended spring training. ”
That’s all it says. I’ll be in Rome Friday night, so I’ll ask around.
