Adam Dunn
In jerry crasnick's latest post, he said he talked to a few execs who believe dunn might have to settle for 3yrs/36million. surely we could afford that even after we sign burnett (maybe).i think it would be a great idea if we could get him for 12mil a season. any thoughts?

Yes.
I guess I should be one to talk.
There's nights that I can't even walk.
There's days I couldn't give a fuck.
And in between is where I'm stuck.
He's not guaranteed a raise - he'll get whatever someone pays him
If no one offers him $16-17 mil, what’s he going to do, be a garbage man?
No way.
As a Braves fan, I would take that in a heartbeart. But if that’s all Dunn could get, I think he would sign a 1-year and try again next winter.
Dunn is what we need
power hitting outfielder. Granted, he is left handed, he provides us a clean-up hitter.
would it make any sense to bat Dunn (assuming we get him 3rd) and then Chipper4th…. Dunn would most likely see more fastballs, Chipper would protect Dunn and then it would break up McCann and Dunn (which are two lefties and would be susceptible to a Loogy in late innings)
"We win today, that's two in a row... if we win tomorrow, that's called a winning streak. It has happened before..."
chipper hates batting fourth. and why piss the franchise player off?
Following the Braves...one long hard drink at a time.
Budget buster
If we sign Burnett for 15-16 million a year and we add in Vasquez and his 11.5 million, then I don’t think the Braves can afford the nearly 15 million that Dunn will demand. I’d love to have all three of these guys, and I think our problems would be mostly solved if we got them but I’m not optimistic that our budget will allow it. I know that those salaries add up to just about 42 million but you have to add in arbitration raises and I think would end up probably at least 5-7 million over-budget.
