Heyward and Hanson

Was listening to XM radio yesterday, and the two guests were the two senior writers for Baseball America who had just completed their prospect rankings.

I forget their names, but one of their top five lists was as follows 1.  David Price.  2.  Matt Wieters.  3.  Tommy Hanson.  4.  Jason Heyward.  5.  Who cares.

Our young prospects are starting to get some love on the national level.  This is just the beginning too.  Freeman, Rohrbough, Schafer, Locke, and Gorkys are not far behind.

Nice

Wieters and Price are absolutely sick. Pretty good company to be in, hope we get to see some of Hanson next year.

Looks like Heyward will be the number 1 prospect next year, because Hanson and Price and Wieters will likely be int he bigs.

Here's a thought

I realize it’s fun to bash on ATLsportsfrk and all. But consider this … I’d guess 3/4 of the posters on this site are over 18. Seems like ATLsportsfrk isn’t over 18. In fact, it seems like he’s 12. So, while he may think ERA is the best way to gauge a pitcher, consider that’s he’s probably in 7th grade. I was into baseball when I was in seventh grade, but I had no idea what WHIP was … that’s for sure. Not saying that WHIP is the best way to evaluate a pitcher, my point is that he might be a little less educated than some posters because of his age.

So … while he is dumb for inviting senseless argument/doing very little research/being seriously misinformed, it’s a little sad that middle-aged Braves fans get off on bashing on some random minor. Shit … just ignore him. Why waste time arguing w/ a 12 yr old?!?!

"He's getting better, but he's not there yet ..."

/flagged as hater

I guess I should be one to talk.
There's nights that I can't even walk.
There's days I couldn't give a fuck.
And in between is where I'm stuck.
