Strange Thought...
What would you guys think if we brought Andruw Jones back? I don't think the Dodgers would use him and I bet we can get him at a bargain. If he can get into decent shape and maybe hit 20 homers it wouldn't be that bad til 2010. I would say the Dodgers owe us after Furcal and I wouldn't mind seeing Andruw try and bounce back. You think he would be welcomed back?

AJ
AJ is NEVER welcomed back in ATL right now he would just take time from Schafer and Gorkys in the minors tell AJ to keep his money and never talk to us again because he is worthless
NO......
That’s alot of friggin’ ifs…… If he can get into shape, if he can hit 20HR…… If he had listened to his hitting coaches and worked out a little bit harder in the offseason, we’d be talking about moving him to LF now so we make room for Schafer in CF.
No we wouldn't
Jones is still one of the best defensive CF in baseball right now. We wouldn’t move him to LF so Schafer can play CF. But we wouldnt bring him anyway, so why even discuss it?

its all perception.. his glvoe has significantly tailed off over the years he isnt anywhere near as good as he used to be since 2005 he has regressed from one of the best CF to about average. he range factor (albeit not the best source of data) has dropped to league avg.
a little aside… Andruw Jones has the largest descripency between his UZR and his +/- Dewan metric…. somehting like a 20 run difference…. acorrding to his UZR he is still an amzing CF… but according to most other numbers he has fallen back down to league avg… which is obvious considering that extra 50 lbs he carries and his general aloofness he carries around the field.
so basically if we bring him back it would be at LF… although i think its a horrible idea to bring him back
"We win today, that's two in a row... if we win tomorrow, that's called a winning streak. It has happened before..."
It was theoretical.....
…and his bat would be more suited to LF than Schafer’s. Plus the fact that he’s lost several steps with age. Not that he isn’t damn good with the glove by UZR/150 standards.
