What's up with Jairo?
The Kansas City Royals re-claimed Jairo Cuevas off outright waivers from the Atlanta Braves.
Cuevas was originally claimed by the Royals on Oct. 24 and then re-claimed by Atlanta on Nov. 26. His name is pronounced "HIGH-row KWAY-vahs".
SOMETHING IS UP FOLKS!!!
That opens up a spot on the Braves 40-man roster, and that means one of two things; the Braves are about to sign a free agent (A.J. Burnett), or the Braves are planning on taking someone in tomorrow's Rule 5 draft.
Mighty fishy....

Didn't this...
Happen to Byung-Hyun Kim at some point? He went from Colorado, to Florida, claimed by Arizona on waivers, and then Florida claimed him back?
If I remember correctly, Colorado cut Kim, and allowed him to walk, but still assumed a portion of his salary. Florida picked him, and traded him to the Diamondbacks. But then Arizona did something, and it left the door open for Florida to re-claim him, but at a pro-rated salary which ended up being even cheaper than his first stint with the Marlins that same year.
I’m not going to lie and pretend like I know how it all works, but I’m guessing there are financial reasons behind this.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.

googly moogly mosh.
I’d have been fine if you had just said it is probably for financial reasons. The rest is like “My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl…”
That’s some serious economics.

Look at me, I didn’t go to college and I’m kick ass…
I guess I should be one to talk.
There's nights that I can't even walk.
There's days I couldn't give a fuck.
And in between is where I'm stuck.

Agreed!
I went to five – and two of them twice – got 2 degrees and I’m just a smart-ass with a low-paying job using everything I learned in first grade.

Very underrated movie...
…my favorite is his dialogue with Ben Stiller.
- What’s your name?
- John…Joe…Joe John…

width and height tags
You can adjust them in the HTML, y’know, so you don’t always have titanic images…

img src=“imageURL” width=“NUMBER” height=“NUMBER”
Just put that sucker inside the <> brackets, and replace NUMBER with a more appropriate width or height (in pixels.)

I agree, I think they are clearing space for Burnett. I’m not sure who else it could be for at this point, but unless they are trading for someone they will need the 40 man spot for a free agent. Or, they could be trading for two 40 man guys and only sending one in return (Escobar or KJ for two bags of crap?). Too many options, not enough time to properly speculate.
This can’t possibly lead back to Peavy can it? Either I need to drop a deuce or my stomach just threw up at that thought.

The logical explanation is that they decided there is somebody they want to take in the Rule 5 draft. The roster spot wouldn’t be for Burnette, because even if they agreed to a contract with him tomorrow, it’s usually a few days or a week before a free agent officially signs a contract and must be placed on the roster. Couple that with all the buzz that shows that plenty of other teams are interested in Burnette and again, the only logical conclusion is that the Braves are going to pick somebody in the Rule 5 draft. Or they signed some other free agent.
What is up with Jairo? That’s a ton of interest in a guy that, frankly, was a little iffy before he got hurt.

A haiku (of sorts) to Jairo Cuevas Blues
Jairo Cuevas moves again
as Dayton and Frank
pound Jose Cuervo by shots
Bellagio bar tab builds
as both CC and AJ
quickly are swept away
please eat the worm, Frank
you’ll leave Vegas with something
