Here’s a rumor you might be hearing soon. I repeat, might be hearing.

Kelly Johnson for Ryan Ludwick. Hey, you ask about whispers, I give you whispers. I’ll let you know if I hear it said above a whisper.

That comes from DOB's blog in the comment section. Just a rumor I guess, and I dont suppose that the Braves would deal both KJ, and Yunel in the same offseason does anyone else.

This seems to be selling high on Ludwick who is by no means a young player so that all-star year may be a fluke moreso than a breakout.

Yeah, just saw that on mlbtr. We’re also the leading candidate to land Tazawa after offering him a major league deal.

I’d do the KJ for Ludwick deal in a heartbeat. Both players are under control for the next 2 years, and STL has an abundance of OFs. I’m assuming we’d move him to LF. I guess that would make Prado the starter, which doesn’t thrill me.

i did the computation he never hits above 93 but, from what ive read he can hit 97, thats a big difference.

four seemer is very straight, two seamer has some pretty good movement

curve is good, but he needs to work a bit on it, hangs it a bit too much

changeup looks pretty good also.

I like this trade, but I think it may have to be expanded. We would probably have to take Kennedy’s $4mill salary next year and we give them Lillibridge too.

I would definitely make that trade, Kennedy and Ludwick for Johnson and Lillibridge. What do you guys think if it was Ludwick for Johnson and prospect Rohrbough?

If you’re willing to take Johnson/Lillibridge for Ludwick/Kennedy, then I’ll take that before I offered Rohrbough. In reality, it might take a pitching prospect like Rohrbough or Locke but I’d avoid giving them up if at all possible.

Just a thought

I figured that a pitching prospect might have to be included. And I thought I would come over and see what you guys were thinking in that regard. Though, if you guys get Peavy, this whole talk is moot anyway.
