[Braves General Manager Frank] Wren also said they aren’t discouraged about the pitching market, said he doesn’t think there are going to be a rash of signings immediately, that there’s time, etc.
And when I asked if he’s had any communication with Towers in the last couple days, he said no.

This worries me some. I know there’s not much Wren can do right now while teams are throwing crazy money at some of these guys but they’re gonna start going soon and we’ll still be sitting here. It’s a tough situation but we at least gotta get our bids in. If not, it’s back to trades, which isn’t necessarily bad. Other teams are all over the big name free agents with offers and the Braves are nowhere to be found. Hopefully our patience will produce something. Hopefully…..maybe…….can it PLEASE produce something?
