Its time to Free Diaz!

BC needs to play Diaz Every single game! Harris is in a prolonged slump! Harris cant hit better than Diaz, Cant steal, has no power, AND cant get a Damn bunt down to help us win a game! BC and his loyalty has killed us this year! If JS did NOT trade Langerhans, Langy WOULD STILL be starting against Righties! BC also KEPT AJ in the Cleanup spot when he was hitting UNDER .200! I mean come on! I like BC, but this loyalty crap has cost us some games this season! If any kind of descent Cleanup hitter was hitting in the Cleanup spot for us they would be putting up A-Rod numbers RIGHT NOW! Imagine IF we had Tex for the whole season hitting Cleanup! Wow!

But anyway to Diaz, LOOK AT THESE NUMBERS: Diaz CAN hit right-handed pitching, quite well as a matter of fact. He's hit .331 with a .794 OPS in 134 at-bats against them this season, compared to crazy .372 and 1.023 OPS in 164 ABs vs. lefties

For his career, it's .335 with .910 OPS in 382 ABs vs. lefties, .314 with .782 OPS in 322 ABs vs. righties....

But YET BC is still playing Harris OVER Diaz! Unbelievable! We have 6 games left EACH against BOTH the Mets AND the Phillies! We will need Diaz in those games! We NEED to win 10 of 12 all together against them, IF we want to even think about winning the East! If BC keeps on starting Harris against Righties, then he has TOTALLY lost it as a manager! I like BC, and respect what he has done for us, but his loyalty crap has got to go! Diaz will HAVE to be a difference maker for us IF we want to win the East! And Diaz was in last nights win! We probably would have LOST if Harris was in there! I like Harris, but Diaz DESERVES to start everyday RIGHT NOW!

You are right! Langy would still be out there. I just as upset about Villarreal. What does BC see in him, when you have Stockman or Devine sitting in the minors. I know I sound like a broken record, but he needs to get his head of the loyalty sand. I thought he was on his way by cutting Wick, but he still has a long way to go.
Your right about Diaz. Tell me what other manager would platoon a guy who is hitting .355 and just hit a homer and double off of a RHP, so the rigthy vs righty doesn't hold water either.

I like Devine also, it seems to me that he does NOT trust him anymore since his rookie season when he gave up the homer in the playoffs to Burke! At least thats what It seems like to me! I think the Reason why Stockman has not been here is because he has got hurt ALOT this year! I heard that about a month ago! I heard he is REALLY injury proned! We are playing a guy in harris that is I think 4 for his last 30 something over Diaz! And we are in a dang race for the division! Does that make any sense at all? I mean come on!

I think JS KNEW that BC was NOT gonna sit Langy thats why he traded him! Smart decision by JS! No doubt Harris has helped us this year, but Diaz is On fire and has been great ALL season! If Harris could at least get a damn bunt down, could steal some bases and hit close to what Diaz hits then I am fine with the platoon, BUT none of that is happening right now with Harris! I will be P!ssed IF Harris is starting tomorrow against Maine! But knowing BC thats probably what will happen! Diaz was HUGE for us last night! The guy is a hitting machine!

You got a cool blog! Dude I thought the same thing about Diaz batting 2nd next year IF we can get a #3 starter for Renteria! I also think that our outfield next year should be Frenchy in CF(yes he does have the range to play CF), Brandon Jones in RF, and Matt Diaz in LF! That would be one heck of an OUTFIELD! Why BC does not start Diaz over Harris against Righties is beyond me! You play the HOT hand, especially now! Dude you remember when Moylan was on fire and yet BC STILL kept going to Wickman! Sometimes I dont understand BC at all! Now look where Wickman is! LOL!

unfortunely, it apparently doesn't matter what I think. If we are all thinking this, then there have to be others in the organization who are thinking it as well. Maybe JS could pull a Steinbrenner and force him to play Matty.....

You know what, alot of players are probably thinking that Diaz should start, even the coaches probably! This is a situation where Higher management MIGHT have to step in IF BC does not have Diaz starting Everyday right now! I have NO problem with Harris coming in Late in the Game as a defensive replacement IF we have the lead or whatever!
