Is Wilson a bust!!

I know we got Craig Wilson for some bench depth, but this guy is close to leading spring training in KO's.  He stuckout 3 times today.  I think it's time to cut our loses now and give a younger player an opportunity.  JS makes some great moves, but let's see if he can admitt a miss.  Am I alone on this??

You must be kidding...
You have lost your mind...Every player has a bad Spring Training at some point in their career (if they stick around long enough and haven't had enough bad ones together).

Craig Wilson is going to be a valuable asset to the Braves as the UT guy.  He can backup in both OF Corners and at 1B.  We need a guy who can step in if Thorman falters or needs a breather.  From the bench, he is home run power and potential waiting to happen.

Have you looked at this guys numbers from past seasons?  If he were statted out over a full season, he would be a 25-30 HR, 100 RBI guy if he just played a position!!!

I like
Wilson a lot.  Matter of fact his spring numbers are better than Thorman.  Which will probably constitue a platoon at first.  He's a whole lot better against lefties than righties.

Spring numbers
PLAYER       AVG   G  AB   R   H  TB 2B 3B HR RBI

S Thorman   .250  20  68  10  17  26  4  1  1   5

C Wilson    .203  22  59   5  12  21  1  1  2   9

Wilson has 21 KO's versus Thorman's 16.

I would say that Thorman's number are better.  I think we all agree that Thorman has a lot more up side than Wilson.  Again, not trying to promote Thorman too much here, but Wilson should be getting his stroke in order by now.  We have enough guys on this team that KO.  4 in the top 15 in the NL for spring training stats  I hope I'm wrong about Wilson.

OK
First, its K, not KO. Was just annoying me. Second, you could be right that wilson is a bust, but using spring training numbers isn't really a good way to prove it. I could say doug clark will be one of the best hitters ever cause he put up a .424 average this spring. Thats just dumb though.
