Kelly Johnson for Coco Crisp?

mlbtraderumors.com has a post about a rumor being floated, Kelly Johnson to Boston for Coco Crisp. Personally I think KJ would be too much for Crisp, especially considering the cost difference.

Star-divide

The post deals with the possibility of keeping Renteria if KJ is traded. It makes no mention of Lillibridge, who could theoretically step in to the lineup, resulting in he at SS and Yunel at 2B.

eh...
i don't like this idea very much.  i think we've seen perhaps only half of what kj can do and i pretty much think i've seen the entire range of work from ccrisp.

Agreed
This assumes that Boston wants/needs a 2B - which they clearly do not.

KJ and Boston
This trade would be a great trade for Boston.  KJ would move back to 3B where he had successfully played in the minors at times.  He would then provide Boston with a low cost, but effective, option to replace Lowell.  For the Braves this would be a dismal mistake.  Johnson could hit .300 25 80+ RBIs by next year.  He is only 25 and should only continue to get better.  Put that offense at 2B and you have an all-star.  Coco Crisp is a replacement level CF at best.

this deal
This won't happen since Renteria was traded, unless Cox loses his mind and decides to have Escobar as his most experienced man up the middle.
