Rain Leads to Third Double-Header of Road Trip
What a momentum stopper! The constant rain in New York will cause the Braves to play their third double-header of this seven game road trip tomorrow starting at 1pm. There is also a strong chance of rain lasting until late afternoon in the New York area tomorrow, but being that this is the last road trip to New York, they're going to have to play until they get two in, no matter how long it takes.
The Braves do have an off day on Thursday, but the Mets have to host LA that day, so the two games must be made up tomorrow. It will be a back to back double-header, instead of the day-night variety we had in Philly, meaning there will be less of a break between games, probably only 30 to 45 minutes.
The Braves need to do better than they did in Philly when they suffered two double-header splits. A sweep tomorrow would be just what the doctor ordered.
