It's Official
And I have to say, I'm not very happy about it...
The Atlanta Braves announced today that they declined to tender 2007 contract offers to second baseman Marcus Giles and right-handed pitcher Chris Reitsma by tonight's (Dec. 12) deadline. Both players are now free to negotiate with any of the 30 Major League teams.

trade
Seems lopsided
cringe
by the way, dave o'brien had an interesting blog on ajc.com about how raphael soriano hasn't regained form since getting hit by Vlad last season. i guess the scouts he's talked to are saying RS is peaking at about 91 with very little control (supposed to be hitting 95-96) in the winter leagues in the DR. perhaps, regarding the HoRam for RS trade, the joke was on us! i guess we'll have to wait to see til next season.

you guys
although Giles is in decline mode
thats the main reason i quit following the braves years ago, they have no loyalty and claim poverty
hopefully for you're sake, Giles asked out to go and sign with the Pads
question: who's gonna play 2nd base for ya'll now?
Well
And one of the 3 or 4 minor league second basemen we have will probably take giels place. Just my guess
