So, congrats to the Cardinals for rather easily taking care of the Tigers. There's one question that keeps running through my mind as I sit here contemplating their victory; what do they have that the Braves don't have?
They had starting pitching problems (no Mulder, bad Marquis).
They had bullpen problems (Izzy giving way to Wainwright).
They have a scrappy lead-off guy, so do we.
They have an MVP-type middle of the order player, so do we.
They have solid role players or All-Stars at every position, so do we.
Was their team that much better than the Braves, or were they just a bit more lucky? It just makes me scratch my head. Thoughts...
